Topic Choices:

A. The Greenhouse Effect (Atmosphere)
B. Impact on the Water Cycle (Hydrosphere)
C. Impact on the Biosphere
D. Impact on the Geosphere
E. Ways to prevent Global Warming

3.Set up a storyboard, copy frames, and then animate object and characters by grouping and ungrouping- create a flow of movement while telling a story through text and words about one of the aspects of Global Warming and it's implications

1. Take a Typing Test to find out how many words per minute can be typed

2. Get usernames and passwords &  go over class procedures

3. Logon to Micro Type to become familiar with the keyboarding program and develop proper keyboarding techniques and build or improve basic speed and accuracy.

Micro type Instructions:

1. Start- Programs- South Western Keyboarding- Microtype 3.0
2. NEW User
3. Add- first name- Last Name- and use the same password as you logged on to the computer
4. Follow instructions- then go on to alphabetic keyboarding

1. Become familiar with file systems on computers

2. Create new files and understand file naming procedures

3. Create a new file that contains a table to keep a  journal of what was accomplished in computer class on a daily basis.  Save as: "journal" in  "word" folder

1. Type a few paragraphs in Microsoft Word to explain something scientific that they did this summer and to show computer skills

2. Type at least two paragraphs that will include:

a. what they did this sfallthat was scientific
b. detailed information about the activity
c. detailed information about what was scientific about the activity referring to science concepts (ie. Newton's Laws)
d. Include a short lesson about the activity
e. include pictures/ color to show their personal style

3. Name the file "fall" and save to their "word" folder they created
